Typeface Specimen

Researching the typographic history of Bodoni, I knew I wanted to create a design that embraced modernity and also showcased linear contrast within the composition itself. By positioning the elements of the composition structured diagonally, it showcases a modern aesthetic while still adhering to structure. I wanted different letters of the typeface to act as design elements and to juxtapose against each other to showcase the contrast of thick and thin lines. I chose the color scheme from drawing inspiration from Italian aesthetics. The design exemplifies class with a modern twist.
